Special notes on RUIT

Greetings Yoga Students and Massage Clients,

I hope this note finds everyone well in Body, Mind, and Spirit.  I have an exciting news to share.  I’ve recently attended a Massage workshop titled Repetitive Use Injury Therapy (RUIT).  It is an awesome healing work developed by a gentleman named Michael Young.  (http://www.mrtherapy.com/)  He is an ex-brick-layer/construction worker who suffered from chronic joint issues (elbows, knees, back, shoulder, wrists, neck…)  After selling his 55-employee business of construction, he drastically changed his life by moving to Colorado and enrolling in Massage school.  I don’t know his exact age, but I believe he is between mid fifty to early sixty.  It was truly inspiring to witness someone from unlikely background to become a Massage Therapist and developing a technique so effective that it help people relieve pain they’ve suffered from for months, years, and even decades in relatively short period of time. (30min. to a few one-hour massage therapy sessions)

This incredible 3-day workshop can be boiled down to two words, tight muscles.  Tight muscles are THE cause of numerous conditions and syndromes that we suffer from in one form or another.  To name a few, Carpal Tunnel Syndrome-very over diagnosed condition mainly caused by tight forearm/arm muscles, Plantar Fasciitis-caused by tight leg muscles, not tight tendon; by the way, tendons and ligaments are supposed to be tight.  They are the stabilizer that connects muscles to bones.  Too often these are CUT to relieve pain, which relieves pain for short period until it comes back again, Sciatica-caused by tight gluteus muscles impinging Sciatic nerve, Thoracic Outlet Syndrome-caused by tight chest muscles, chronic headaches-caused by tight neck/shoulder/face muscles…etc.

The answer to all these issues is Circulation.  Circulation is poor in tight muscles.  Without healthy circulation body heals very slowly.  Remove the cause of poor circulation, meaning stretching the muscle effectively, then the body can heal rapidly.

Furthermore, when you treat symptoms of pain, relief is temporary.  When you treat the cause of the pain, then relief is long lasting, even permanent as long as you self-care afterwards so it won’t come back.  If you don’t self-care, it WILL come back.

Here are two of the most common reasons or excuses I hear why people don’t receive massage therapy :

1. It doesn’t last—it won’t if you don’t maintain it;  Unlike “fluff-n-buff” massage, RUIT is result driven and it will last as long as you self-care after the treatments.  I will show you how so you CAN maintain it.

2. Too expensive—the cost for surgery is in thousands and tens of thousands of dollars.  Ever wonder why the healthcare cost is sky rocketing every year?  It’s all due to the ineffective drugs and surgeries that we inundate ourselves everyday;  Cost of Massage Therapy sessions in comparison is negligible.

Please contact me if you’ve been suffering from any forms of chronic physical pain.  This work is so effective I am confident that I can help you get rid of pain.  Here is a short list of Syndromes and Conditions that RUIT can remedy.

Carpal Tunnel Syndrome

Chronic Low Back Pain

Tennis / Golfers Elbow

Plantar Fasciitis

Hammer Toes

Bunion Pain

Tendinitis

Sciatica

Neck Pain

TMJ Issue

Knee Pain

Neuromas

I thank you for your time for reading this note.  Please feel free to share this email with your friends, family, and colleagues.

I look forward hearing from you soon.

By the way, Clients who received RUIT treatments who faithfully do their assigned stretches report their pain are disappeared or reduced significantly.  You owe it to yourself to feel healthy and well in your body.  Be well.
